What is Deep Blue Collective?
Deep Blue Collective is a platform focused on making conservation and One Health research easier to understand.
We explore how wildlife, ecosystems, and human health are connected, and break down scientific studies into clear, accessible explanations.
The aim is simple: to bridge the gap between complex research and real-world understanding, so more people can see what is happening in conservation science and why it matters.
Exploring how natural systems interact and how environmental change impacts biodiversity and ecological balance.
02
Understanding how diseases, health, and wellbeing affect wild animal populations and conservation outcomes.
01
Examining the connections between human, animal, and environmental health and how they influence one another.

How did Deep Blue Collective Begin?
After graduating with a degree in Veterinary Science I knew I wanted to work with animals and wildlife, I just wasn’t sure in what way yet. Since then, I’ve followed that path through a range of wildlife and conservation internships, supporting both research and hands-on animal care with a particular focus on marine conservation (hence the name!).
Through different conservation experiences, volunteering, and communication work, I’ve seen how powerful it can be when science is communicated clearly. That’s what led me to create Deep Blue Collective, a space where I can explore and break down conservation and One Health research in a way that’s easy to understand.
I’m especially interested in wildlife health, ecosystems, and One Health - the connections between human, animal and environmental health - and how research in these areas can be broken down into something clear and meaningful.
Now, Deep Blue Collective focuses on taking complex science and turning it into clear, accessible explanations that help people understand what’s happening in the natural world, and why it matters.
