1. About Deep Blue Collective
Deep Blue Collective is a UK-based freelance initiative offering services in science communication, design, and research support for marine and environmental organisations.


2. Services
Services are offered on a project-by-project basis and may include (but are not limited to):

  • Social media management and content creation

  • Design and communication support for NGOs or science-based organisations

  • Research assistance and citizen science support

All services will be outlined and agreed upon in writing before work begins. Quotes, timelines, and deliverables will be shared via email or contract.


3. Client Responsibilities
Clients are expected to:

  • Provide clear and timely information for the agreed work

  • Respond to feedback requests and reviews promptly

  • Make payments according to agreed terms (usually via invoice within 14 days)

4. Cancellations & Refunds
You may cancel a project before work begins. Once work has started, partial or full payment may still be required based on how much work has been completed.


5. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed:

  • You retain ownership of content you provide

  • Deep Blue Collective retains the right to display finished work as part of a portfolio or case study

  • You may not reuse or resell Deep Blue Collective content (e.g. designs, copy, reports) without prior permission

6. Website Use
All content on this website, including images, writing, and branding, is the property of Deep Blue Collective unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, reuse, or reproduce this material without permission.


7. Limitation of Liability
Deep Blue Collective is not liable for any losses, delays, or damages resulting from use of this site or freelance services, including missed deadlines due to factors beyond reasonable control (e.g. illness, tech failures).


8. Privacy
We collect limited personal information through contact forms for the sole purpose of responding to enquiries. For more, see our Privacy Policy.
